The Studio Ninja Team
Studio Ninja was launched summer 2010 by photographers Mike Greenhow and Kris Lamba. The aim was to create a source of useful information for anyone interested in photography, with a strong emphasis on real world techniques, unusual equipment reviews and breaking news.
Kris and Mike met many moons ago whilst playing in a band together, they then went on to open Waterloo Street Studios in Brighton, UK, where they can be found shooting anything from the latest Kawasaki to a dog in a tuxedo. Kris is a Landscape photographer at heart, but has become well respected as a commercial and architectural photographer. He favours large format technical cameras with complex and precise movements but has more recently been experimenting with the iphone Hipsamatic app and the Richo GX200. Mike shoots primarily with a Linhof or Graflex 4×5 for landscapes, architecture and still life but is equally comfortable with the Canon 5DmkII in the studio or his trusty Fujica rangefinder for street and travel photography. He has recently been testing the Adox line of black and white film.
Studio Ninja is still in its infancy, so please comment or email with suggestions about what to include on the site. We’re pretty much open to any good ideas and unique concepts.
